Viswasam Tamil movie review and ratings

Thala Ajith had made  the best appearance on screen with action packed up with Vivegam (2017) is back on screen, this time in rural avatar with director Siva for the 4th time in Viswasam. Viswasam boosts up a huge star cast and the trailer promised up a typical mass family entertainer. While Vedhalam and Veeram fared well at box offices. Vivegam met up with lukewarm response. Lets see if most talked about the kollywood combo at recent times which as worked up wonders this time around.

Viswasam begins up with the introduction of Thookudurai(Ajith), the bigwig of Koduvilarpatti, who leads a lonely life. From the flashback, Doctor Niranjana (Nayanthara) comes to Thookudurai’s village for a medical camp, and though initially hates his acts a slowly falls for his character and get married. As his ways trouble their daughter, couple split. After that Thookudurai sets out to Mumbai to see his daughter Swetha (Anikha Surendran) and get sot know that she faces threat from Gautam (Jagapathi Babu). Why is Gautam behind Swetha’s life whether Thookudurai saved his daughter’s life eliminating Gautam was able to unite with is family is all about Viswasam.

Thala Ajith as Thookudurai surprises with full of life act in flashback episodes and yet swag filled act in pepper and salt look and has a best screen presence with improved body language and near to be a perfect Madura dialect. Nayanthara as Niranjana gets a meaty role and gets to emote and shares almost equal screen space with Ajith and excels in romance as well as sentimental sequences. Jagapathi Babu is yet again cast without much impact as his character. Anikha Surendran is back up sharing screen space with Thala after Yennai Arindhaal and its apt to it. Viswasam an army of comedians including Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Vivek, Kovai Sarala, and none really make an impact as the comedy falls flat.

Siva is packed up for the first half with family sentiments and presents Ajith in energetic and young look, manages to engage the audience with chemistry between Ajith and Nayanthara. Siva has packed up with first half with family sentiments and present Ajith in energetic and young look as the atrocious do-gooder Thookudurai, manage the chemistry between Ajith and Nayanthara.

Verdict: Love to watch a family subject with lots of sentiments then don’t forget to watch this movie.

Rating: 3.75 / 5.0
